Located in Jefferson County Georgia, East Georgia Produce is a family operated farm growing a wide variety of vegetables, micro-greens, melons, flowers and herbs. Taking an organic approach, they use a practice called “ecoganic farming” to maintain a soil rich in beneficial microbes and organic matter. East Georgia Produce does not use any synthetic fertilizers or pesticides on its crops. By growing a variety of crops, and practicing good crop rotation, East Georgia Produce tries to reduce disease and insect damage and provide a healthy environment while keeping the land productive. East Georgia Produce played a pivotal role in helping to start the Downtown Swainsboro Farmers Market, and as they have continued to grow you may still find them setup along Roger Shaw Street on Friday afternoons from time to time.
